Hi All...new Toyota Driver - At Last

hi all, picked up a 55 plate corolla verso D4D T180 recently and am loving it.

this is a great forum, spent this morning cleaning the EGR valve out...that was seriously blacked up thanks to Twingo69 for the photo instructions.

read some of the threads about poor mpg...i think i only get about 33mpg ish. bit disappointed, but will see if the EGR clean helps.

does anyone know if there is a decent garage around the Cardiff area that service and repair Toyota's as the dealer prices are what they are, but seem reluctant to help with diagnosis without huge cost. i have a few things needed sorting like the 40k service, a funny intermittent burning/bad smell and a whine from the front offside so wondering about bearing? don't think it is brakes binding as they seem fine and whining doesn't stop under braking, also wondering about cluth? but hope not.
