Hi, im new here, i bought a Corolla 1.6 GTi-16 with the T-VIS thingymajig, i think its the AE92, with a 4AGE engine (anyone like to correct me since im not sure?) about a month ago, it is surprisingly fast for a 1.6 and with 4 people in the car, since that is the only time i have pushed it! :D

It handles very well also and with a bit of magical dust called money (which i still need to acquire, however devious or not hehe :o) i could hopefully get it looking very nice with a suped up engine (hope! :P).

I have just been caught with my rear cluster lights to dim :( . The person before me smoked them and so in turn made them look darker.

The question is does anyone know how to solve this because i need them to be clear and perfect for the cops (grrr! ) either by washing it off (which i here is hard) or if anyone knows of where i can get some rear cluster light case and lens or just the lens part 2nd hand.

Thanks for the help!!!! :)

Hello and welcome, Foliatec who make the tint spray also do a remover which you can buy from most large Halfords stores ;)

Thanks for the help.

I checked with a spray company for cars, and they say that nothing will work except for some cellular stuff. He said that the paint was melted into the plastic and that is how it stays on (or something like that) and the only way to get it off would be to get this cellular stuff which in turn will melt the paint off as well as the plastic and so is not a good option. :(

What will this foliatec remover be able to do that the cellular thing can't? (well will it melt the plastic??? :o )

And does it matter if the guy used a foliatec paint spray on it, will the remover still get it off?

Thanks for the help again!!!!

The Foliatec stuff doesn't melt your lights as I've used the spray and remover on mine and got it all off with no ill-effects :D

I don't know if it'll remove other brands of tint though
