HI guys new to the site. well ive bought myself a 2009 avensis d4d tr. im only 22 and went for a different style of car compared to the usual european cars boras,a4, passats and so on. what i wanna know is how i can modify my avensis in a subtle kind of way. for example is there any kind of body styling such as front lip spoilers, boot spoilers grills and coilover sets. also looking a nice set of alloys. any advice muchly appreciated.

Cheers Ryan

Hi mate, I have a 2.0 d4d TR and it has a boot lip spoiler (mines a 2010)

There is a huge range of genuine Toyota accessories available for our cars, a lot of them don't appear in the regular brochure, but if yo go to someone like kingo aka parts king on this forum he can sort you out.

Take a look at http://www.toyota-tech.eu/Aim.aspx?menuitem=1 and browse through the accessory install manuals for the t27 avensis and you will also find the part numbers. With mine I have so far ordered the iPod / USB leads for me to retro fit, the custom fit sun blinds (prefer these to tints) and am shortly going for the Toyota motorsport gril and Toyota (rebadged eibachs) lowering springs.

There are lips / splitters, boot lip spoilers and all manner of official Toyota tweaks available, and the prices are fairly respectable to.

Hope this helps

Cheers

'Modify' and 'subtle' in the same question. Are you sure? Leave it alone and spend your money on good tyres and maintenance and do your advanced driving course - that way the driver will be nearly as capable as the car and your insurance will be cheaper. Seriously, leave the car alone, bolting stuff on just adds weight and attracts the cops. Trust me, my bike does 186mph in standard form, costs £230 fully comp and I have no points on my licence.....yet.
