Bluetooth Connectivity

Just acquired Auris Hybrid with bluetooth. Cannot automatically download my contacts from my Nokia 6500S. Phone pairs easily enough but downloads don't happen. Local dealer can only say that some phones can't perform this function whilst local bluetooth specialist seems to blame Toyota software. Any ideas. Change phone? To what?

I have blue-tooth in my Auris and haven't tried to download contacts yet, however reading the manual mentions adding contacts manually as the car has a phonebook which is independent of your mobile... not sure if that helps???

Thanks for that. The local agent seems to think some phones will download and if you look on the Auris system you will see there is an option to download from phonebook as well as manually.Not too much of a problem really but would like to use full services.

Off topic, but how do you find the Hybrid Auris? Okay Drive? As good on fuel as they say it is?

Hi. I love the thing. When I first drove it I thought it sounded a bit like a milk float! Can't understand why now. Very peaceful and reasonable performance. Well I'm well beyond the go faster stripes age!! Drawback is the luggage accommodation which is restricted although back seats do fold.

Fuel consumption;too early to say. The computer takes time to reach an average consumption. At present registering only about 35mpg(1500mls),but is increasing quite quickly. Spot consumption figures range from 25 to 99.9mpg. Bear in mind I rarely drive very far in Channel Islands and haven't been to UK or France yet. Keeping fingers Crossed.
