Is that to keep dry if it leaks?

Saw one of these in the showroom when mine was being MOTd the week before Christmas. Privacy glass really suits it, would look especially good in white. Also, love the way they say it has alloys, yet in the illustrations they're quite clearly steel wheels! :P

Looking forward to seeing a white one! :)

I think the six spoke alloys suit the car really well. I could never understand why Toyota never had a set of six spokes for the car as an option.

It's quite difficult to even find a set of six spoke, four nut wheels from a third party alloy wheel company and the ones you do get look a wee bit spidey for my taste.

Any idea how much for the wheels alone? If I decide to keep my car (thinking about moving abroad), I may spash out and get a set.

All the 2011 Aygos (C1 and 107s) have a black B pillar and Peugeot and Citroen seem to have the specifications of the EURO V engins on their website. I would think that the Aygo Go and the other 2011 Aygos have this too.

I would like to know what changes are made to the engine to make it Euro 5 compliant.

At last! A few sensible comments. I was put off by the last couple of comments but mainly about the car coming with matching "white wellies". The last I recalled this was a forum to share knowledge, information, news and help. Not a forum to make idiotic comments as such, and if there is nothing nice to say about sharing information then please say anything at all. It puts other members including me off wanting to reply,a nd thats why I havent been on recently.

Anyway:

In response to Aygoyummy. I d love to see a white Aygo. The reason is I ve seen a white C1 and it looks great. The photos show alloys not steelies. The reason how I know this is my cousin used to have a similar set from FOX alloys,a nd they where the high silver finish.

Replying to "another_pleb". I have no idea how much the wheels cost. I wont be surprised if they cost a fortune from Toyota.

DavidAygo, I have no idea what chnages have been made but if anyone knows please put a post up to share the information.

I don't know what other changes have been made. I suspect the fan control dial has been enlarged as per the photos of the 2011 for the Paris motor show. All I noticed was the black B pillar, I have seen one in the dealer in December, and thought it looked a bit different.

Looking on the Toyota website the Aygo Go has no rear door bins. They have not listed (at the moment) the EURO 5 engine on the Toyota site unlike the French manufacturers. I suspect it might be a mistake as they have to be compliant by now. I was just interested as to what is done to the engine to meet the new requirements, if anyone does know?

I should be receiving my new white Aygo Go! next week, it's only a 3DR but if anyone wants to know any more about them, or want pictures of any of the parts do just ask

(Ps. I've been away a long time, so sorry if I've missed the point of this hehe)

Could you put a few pics of the wheels up on the forum? I'd like to see those.

I think Toyota announced at the Paris Motor Show that the emissions had been reduced to 103 g/km (down from 106 g/km and 109 g/km before that). That probably has had something to do with it, only minor tweaks really.

Actually, the photos are supposed to show alloys but if you look closely, you can clearly see steel wheels behind; obviously a Photoshop job. Click on the link, scroll down to the bit where you can rotate the car, and you'll see. Manufacturers often do this to save costs. Also, hadn't noticed the black B-pillars... definitely suit the three-door. I was thinking about having my back windows tinted... hmm.

I'm quite tempted to replace wife's Aygo Platinum with white Aygo Go. It would look lovely with black alloys.

Sat in one at my dealer yesterday whilst waiting for my second MOT,

It was a 5 door and DID have rear door bins. The sat-nav holder on top of the centre console is really cool... you can take the sat-nav unit out all together or it just really neatly folds down!

My only criticism would be that its an ideal opportunity for thieves if you don't take the sat-nav with you (which you would of course!)

Posted

Was hoping to take some pictures of the demo car whilst at the dealership today, but they drove off in it as I got there

:crybaby:

Our sales rep said he recommended leaving the sat nav stand up, but take the sat nav out, to show people it wasn't in there.

Posted

Yea it looked easy enough to get the sat nav out, that whole unit is really nice, I wonder if one can be fitted to our Aygo's?!

Posted

I would imagine it's just a case of replacing the centre console bit, and then powering it. I can't imagine it being more complicated than that, it's just getting hold of the centre console at a reasonable price first.

Posted

One of our members on the Dutch forum allready had an Aygo when his girlfriend bought one too,

WITH satnav. But since she didn't need it he swapped out the center console panels with ease...

Just a matter of removing the blower know, undoing the screw, prying off the panel,

undoing the plugs on the radio (power, Speakers ad antenna) and swapping them over.

You DO need to have the OEM radio though, as the system uses the changer-input

for playing music from USB or an iPod. The Nav-voice is split in by a

mutebox as far as I could tell so it will still workm when the radio is off...

Satnav is a bit useless thing in Aygo unless you deliver pizzas or travel long distances without knowing the way. As a commuter Aygo doesn't need one.

But I would buy Aygo Go because I could have it in white

Mord mate, that's a bit patronising really. There are some people who have Aygo's who can't afford two cars and have to use the Aygo for everything! For them, the satnav is as essential as someone with a Jag or whatever....

im tempted to have a Go purely because it means i dont have to have a sat nav stick in the window

Agreed, but apparently it is easily removed, so although you can shut the lid on it, it is still easier to nick than those that are built in to the head unit...

Kingo is probably the guy to talk to regarding how it's fitted, I suspect that if you chat to the salesman you may not get an honest unbiased answer, he wants to sell you one, Kingo is not that sort of guy!

Fair enough. I didn't think about Aygo as the only car.
