Not More Snow...

Are you complaining about going back to work in which you have a choice and could do something about or, are you complaining about the snow in which have no choice and can only put up with?

Don't burden yourself with the worry of things you can do nothing about, but concentrate on things you can change, and those things that give you and others pleasure.

Me, at my time of life, am thankful to wake up to another day.

Just in time for the first day back to work...

You have a RAV4 and complain about snow?

Neither complaining about work, nor bemoaning my Rav :toast: - which I have found to be brilliant in the white stuff.

As the man says, it's not me - it's everybody else (that is the non-4x4 driving majority who make it a particular joy to slow us all down - and NI Roads Service who can't keep the roads gritted grrrrr...!) :censor: As for the Rav it behaved impeccably.

My moment of Schadenfreude was when I heard that NI Water HQ had to close for the day as they had burst pipes and couldn't get an engineer. Must have made the 100,000 here with similar problems smile a rather wry grin... :!Removed!:

Speaking to a recovery driver last week and saying to him that he must be busy at the moment with this bad weather and black ice .... said "yup - collecting lots of 4x4s that don't know what they are doing" :D

(probably 4x4 folk without RAV4s  )

Crofter's advice is spot on - why sweat the small stuff (or the big stuff for that matter...)

Speaking of recovery drivers - I had the AA out on Xmas Eve for a goosed Battery (own fault should have had it tested when I bought the Rav, and it was just it's time.)

After he got me going he got stuck further up the road and I had to go and dig him out - God love him.

Just gotta go with whatever we get! Really pleased with the Rav though - should have bought one years ago! :yahoo:

argento,

Just the rambling of an old man, nothing personal.:yawn:

Re your last comment,I bet if a poll was carried out on that a high percentage would have to admit to echoing that sentiment.

Loved the tale of you rescuing your rescuer :thumbsup:
