UK bought, dealer said was a higher spec than the 1.6, has anyone got any knowledge for this newb guy.

I was told differences between 1.6:

Lowered

Bigger alloys

nicer interior

Quicker than 1.6

any of this true??

as i said (in the auris photos topic) my 2008 1.6 sr has,

225/45 17"s toyota motorsport pitlane alloys,(look the same as in your photos) toyota motorsport rear spoiler(again looks the same as yours) rear darkened glass, and 30mm lowered suspension.

also looking at your photos,your interior looks the same as mine >

to me from what you have said, the only difference is your larger engine,and 6 speed gear box :unsure:

They do a 1.8 SR? Interesting, where was the engine taken from as the Auris has only ever had 1.33, 1.4, 1.6 petrols and 1.4, 2.0 and 2.2 diesels in the UK to my knowledge

It was taken from the new avensis 1.8 valvematic. Wiki
