You need to remove the plastic surround that goes around the stereo. To do this, locate the various screws for the panel, from memory one is to the left of the steering wheel, two are under the panel that surrounds the gearstick (this will pop off if you pull it carefully) I think there may be a couple of others, but not being in the car I can't remember. Once the screws are out, you will need to pull away any other pieces of trim that hold the panel in place. Eventually you should be able to pull the panel away. You will then see the brackets that fix the radio in place. Basically it is screwed in via two metal brackets. Remove the 4 screws and the radio should come out.

Sorry if this sounds a bit vague. If you're careful you should be able to locate all of the screws quite easily.....

Here roughly how to do it iirc

1. Remove the ash try by pulling.

2. Remove the two screws that are now visible after removing the ash tray

3. Remove the trim piece (console upper panel) from around the gear selector with a flat head screw driver. (careful not to damage - tape screwdriver tip) -- two screws should now be visible, if not, you remove the wrong trim. (don't remove the one with the leather from the shift knob)

4. Remove the two screws.

5. Remove one screw from Center cluster finish panel (trim around radio), the screw is located close to the ignition switch, on the bottom side.

6. The rest of the trim is held together by clips, use a flat blade screwdriver, and pry it off. (again carful not to damage) -- Disconnect the cig lighter and four way flasher switch.

7. Once trim has been removed, you can remove the radio and heater control by removing the screws.
