Rear Hub Shims

My rear wheel alignment is out by 11 metres per km. It's not a lot and my tyre wear is only slightly off on the rears. but in ice it just wants to jump over the ditch!

I'm searching high and low but cannot find a shim kit for my 2004 yaris. I believe there are camber kits available but details are vague so i am unsure if it would do the job. I'm looking for toe alignment.

Cheers guys.

There is no adjustment on the rear so nowhere to fit shims, if the alignment is out on the rear end it means a new rear subframe I'm afraid

Kingo

Thanks Kingo. Thats what i thought until i found these pages on the subject. Granted they are for a prius but the rear hub looks awfully similar!

Turns out that prius drivers have been complaining about rear wheel alignment even on NEW priuses! Some have gotten new rear axles replaced under warranty only to have it made worse!

Ok, the yaris is a different car but the rear suspension is not that different.

I read some of the posts. Some people went to a Firestone (as in tyres) outlet to get their tracking adjusted.

At that point, my eyes glazed over and I gave up...

Lol! Yeah, it gets technical very quickly! One other thing i noticed is that they can get a "lifetime alignment" deal for $150 or thereabouts!

Can't see that happening here...

Anyway, rear wheel alignment is possible on the yaris.
