Bumper Scuff Plate

Hi

Owner of a nice, new and shiny White Pearlescent XT-R, 4.3 looking for a chrome / stainless steel bumper scuff plate anyone got any idea's as to where I can purchase one ?

Currently fitted with a small black plastic cover that only protects the are under the rear door, ideally wanting one that will cover all of the exposed area on top of the bumper as I think that given time thie paintwork will get scratched on this area.

Any help or guidance would be appreciated

Hi Dorlyn and welcome to the club

There are scuff plates similar to what you are describing available on e-bay. If you should go that route you will need to make sure that what you buy is suitable for your particular model year and without spare wheel.

Not sure on cost, but as an alternative, there are some assorted sized laser cut stainless wear plates available, that are self adhesive and thin enough to manipulate around corners, they are intended for marine applications, they can be formed around contours and installed in places on a grp boat where a rope might rub the gel coat away, I've seen them advertised recently, might have been eBay.

I have the dark grey plastic shield on my dark grey rav, which looks fine (official Toyota one at daft £££ ).

Your lovely Pearly White one I think would need the Anchorman recommended film, as possibly the silver / chromed variations would look a wee bit blingy on yer new pride and joy. Just remember not to try and fit it in our current weather.

Also keep your lovely car on a driveway....Bothy lives out near you.....
