my lc3 2005 turbo unit has blown up, i found cause to be sump filter blocked also bringing on oil pressure light, cleaned filter changed oil and filter again then fitted second hand replacement turbo, drove well for a while no problems but now a noise has come into turbo,no loss of power and no smoke signals, is this one gone or is there something ive missed, any suggestions, thanks

I think you've fixed the symptoms but not the cause of the sump filter blocking up.

You almost certainly have leaking (aluminium) seals at the base of the injectors, which is letting exhaust gases into the oil (so creating the sludge). You need to get the injector seals changed to the later copper versions immediately.

The worst case is complete engine failure.
