Fuel Cap Release Button Letting In Water!

Hi,

I have a 2007 Yaris and keep finding a wet patch below the Fuel Cap Release Button (next to the drivers seat) which I think is rain water getting in via the cable entry. Having looked under the car I cannot see the cable or any holes so does anyone know where the water could be comming in? I'm a bit worried that the floor may eventually rust if not sorted!

Now that's funny cos I noticed exactly the same once in one of ours.

I couldn't see how it was the cable cos it was dry inside the fuel filler so I put it down to rain geting in when the door was opened or water/snow dripping off feet as they get in the car....

I've meant to keep an eye out but not sure if I've seen it again since.....

I've noticed similar, but like alfiejts said it was when the car when I opened the door whilst the car was wet and a few drops of water dropped down. Hopefully nothing more sinister.

Never noticed wetness with my Yaris so far in that area, except when getting in and out on rainy days.
