Hi My Avensis is displaying an engine management light it has problems starting and also it cuts out when driving.I have replaced the fuel and air filters and checked the spark plugs and coil packs, they all seem to be fine, i have also checked for bad earths and fuses relays etc and i can find no problem. It will start for a few secs then die, this can happen once or many times then it will run normally for a while until the problem rears its head again. I am at a loss as to how to proceed. I would be grateful for any assistance anyone can offer as i am at a loss as to how to proceed. Thanks, Scott.

there are so any sensors etc on these days you are probably best off getting a specialist or Toyota dealer to do a diagnosis for you. At least then you know what to change.

If you read the code it will tell you what your problem is. Dealers will charge a small fortune for this work so take it to an independant or friend with diagnostic equipment.

Sounds like a sensor breaking down or loose connection. Get the code & it will save you time & money.

My son is a Toyota Master tech so can translate code if you get to read it.
