Hands Free Phone

I have recently bought a 2007 avensis estate TR D 4D with a hands free toyota fitted mobile phone base fitted but without the phone itself, the toyota dealership I bought the car from say they dont know what fits it, can anyone help. Its got no visible references on it only the toyota logo. The previous owner says it was already fitted when he had the car and had no phone during his ownership.

it looks very much like a Bury UNI Talk&Take cradle but I could be wrong and is similar to mine. When I got my car it had the Bury cradle already fitted and like you I didn't know what to do about getting a phone to suit but I found out after doing some research the the "cradle" is just a base unit and I had to buy another slim adapter cradle to suit my phone type or any phone in fact. Your best bet is to pop into a Toyota dealer and confirm what I am saying here. I have had two different phones in the last year and managed to get an adapter cradle both times off eBay, the second one is bluetooth so that's even better for my Nokia and both cost me less than £20 and one was brand new, another plus point with this type of system is that an external aerial is fitted so signal reception it better. I would imagine if an adapter is what you need it would be very expensive from Toyota direct.

This may help also mate, the THB Uk importer, I had to phone them a couple of times for parts and they where really helpful.
