Front Brakes Hanging On

I have a 2007 Avensis 2.2 and I have a problem with the Front Brakes Hanging on the off side. I have cleaned the slider pins and coated them with Red Rubber Grease and they move in and out freely. I have pushed out the caliper piston about an inch and have given that a good clean and have coated that with Red Rubber Grease. the caliper has been pushed back in and out a couple of times but the brakes seem to be still hanging on as the wheel gets a bit warm after driving it about 10 miles and the disc is very hot to the touch (hot enough to singe finger tips!) the disc on the nearside also gets quite hot but not quite hot enough to burn.

Does anyone have any ideas or what I should try next?

I've not had this problem on mine but my motorbike used to do this all of the time in the winter. With the bike the problem was corrosion and crud build up behind the piston's dust seal inside the recess that the seal sits in. The expansion there pushed the seal onto the piston preventing it from retracting. It was a piston out, clean out the crud and a hell of a time getting the piston back in. I wouldn't recommend stripping your caliper just yet though. See what other resonses you get first.

Thanks for that, I've had plenty of problems with bike calipers in the past and have never found them a problem to strip and rebuild, although they were mainly down to Alloy calipers with steel pins / pistons. I'll see if anyone else posts over the week and if no further info I'll strip and rebuild next week.

Are you still riding? I currently have a K8 GSXR 750 (see pic)

My problems were on an RF600 - nuf said. Still riding yep, on K3 GSXR1000. Getting a bit ropey now and nowhere near a shiny as yours but, hey, you can't see it when your on it!
