Hi,

I am interested in getting one of these OBD2 cables for my 2006 Aygo. Will those from e-bay fit and work? Which type of protocol does the Aygo use -ISO9141-2; ISO14230-4 (KWP2000); ISO15756-4 (CAN-BUS)? Will the software, through the cable, be able to pinpoint any errors and what caused them? Right now I have the air-bag light flashing on for 2seconds and off for 1sec. Will it be able to tell me what the real error is? My dealer asked for Eur55 just to hook it up with a pc and check the fault. I'm not saying I will reset any errors, especially those from the airbag areas but eur55 just for 5 minutes of viewing a pc screen is daylight robbery.

Any help wold be greatly appreciated.

Thanks.

Check the air-bag connector under the passenger seat... mine had worked its way loose and presented exactly the same symptoms!

The Aygo doesn't have a CAN-Bus connector but it does have an OBD2 port (ISO9141) but I'm not sure whether it's ISO14230 compliant.

Don't forget you'll need software to decipher the fault codes too.
