Hi Gang

Long time since I poked my head around the door.

Well my Aygo Warranty is up in March and I must get it booked in asap as the passenger rattles and now shakes.

looks like the rail may have come apart some how so this should be astraight replacement.

But has anyone had there driver seat replaced for wearing out??

My Aygo has 47000 miles on the clock well under the 60000 warranty / 3 miles but the side bolster has now got a hole in it.

I think its rather weak that this should wear our in less than two years.

A guy in a Toyota dealer in wiltshire told me I would probably have to fight Toyota on that one.

What do you guys think had any issues with your driver seat wearing out??

Apologys for the crappy picture I took it very quickly as it was raining out!

I have never heard of a seat completely wearing out like that before, I'd be surprised if you couldn't argue for it to be replaced under warranty without too much trouble!

I did read about a guy on the Peugeot forum whose drivers seat developed a "squeaky rattle" and he battled Peugeot for ages to get a new one and they were more keen to take his seat completely apart to see if they could see what the problem was before just giving him a new one!

But that's Peugeot aftercare and I don't think his seat was worn out.

Well she is off into Toyota on Thursday to be looked at.

Hopefully it wont result in nasty name calling phone calls to Mr T's Head office.

I also asked them about realigning my tracking it will cost £60 for them to do it, but National Tyres will do it for £35 while I wait service.

You've got to expect main dealers to be more pricey than National tyres unfortunately... there is a little scope for haggling on the price but I think £35 is reasonable!

oh indeed, I was just seeing if they would be nice and do it for me.

Oh well, but yes very happy with £35.

Success from Letchworth Toyota

New seat rails coming and a new seat cover for the drivers seat.

Happy bunny.

Yeah but would you REALLY want to let those Fast-Fit-Place-Monkeys loose on your car? You don't know what hash job they'll do 'out of sight' and tell you that it needs a new steering rack etc no doubt too.

I would ask the Dealer to price-match(ish) and pay them.
