As for Airbag, sounds like someone has been using a child seat in the front and turned off the passenger airbag. From memory [which isn't what it was ] the control is in the glovebox and can be switched using the ingintion key..........

I thought the switch was access-able on the side of the dash, when the passenger door was open. Or maybe this is just mass memory loss. .

Permanently on is normal.
