Tuning Box Void Warranty

I've got 4 years warranty with my auris but would like to fit a tuning box. Will this void the warranty or not as I don't wanna have to pay for anything if it goes wrong.

I would yes it will if the problem is remotely linked to the box

YES it will void the warranty IF the problem is related to the box. But most boxes can be removed in under 5 mins, so if you wanted to remove it for service or warranty work, you could and nobody would know it was there

Don't forget to tell your insurance or it'll void that too!

(That was something that put me off; Mine wanted something like £125 on top!)

If you are talking about about the Toyota tuning box.... genuine items are usually covered under the standard warranty... i know my TTE Back box was...

The tuning box Parts king sells is not a Toyota item, it is an item that he has researched a lot and has recommended above all others.

I have one and it is a very good item, and i would certainly recommend it to anyone, especially as he offers a 30 day money back guarantee if you are not satisfied.

As far as i know, there is NO tuning box or Remap from a 3rd party company that will please a dealers warranty specifications, so if you are going to buy one, you might as well get one that is recommended by someone that works for Toyota.

Don't be put off by the price, it is not the dearest one out there and it has very good feedback on here for its reliability, and in thats worth paying for where your engine is concerned.

Ok thanks. So is there a tuning package that toyota offer?

Just want to make sure that I get the right one as I dnt want this car draining my pockets as my colt does that for me. :)

Contact Parts King with your enquiries, he is the best person to ask about parts etc, and he will help whenever he can during work hours.

A warranty is a contractual arrangement between two or more people so if you change the terms (such as modifying the car) of such others who are party to such an agreement can legally refuse to fulfil all aspects of the agreement.

So in essence if you want a definitiuve answer you'll neeed to ask whoever has agreed to give you the warranty. Better still if they agree it's OK to change the terms ask them to put it in writing with a definitive signature. That way should the worst happen you have evidence to back any claims - don't rely on word of mouth.:)
