Smokin Previa,

hi all i have a 1995 previa auto that has just smoking and the fan belt is making a racket.

the smoke is not coming from the rad or front of exhaust.

so i'm thinking its the fan belt as the racket dont stop

can any one help

hi and welcome to the forum. The Previa auto has 2 belts up front - with the belt at the front running the power steering and alternator. The shorter belt immediately behind it I think is maybe the water pump belt??

Most likely to be the alternator belt which is easier to get to.... you can adjust it by moving the alternator adjustment or replace the belt. Just had mine done as it does make a helluva noise when its even slightly loose.
