Avensis 2.0 Ltr Vvti 2001

The auto gearbox on my 2001 Avensis 2.0 ltr.VVTi has given up the ghost. Cheapset recon box I can find is £1000. I've been unable to locate a 2.0 ltr.box from a breakers, but plenty of 1.8 boxes are available. My question is will a 1.8 box fit a 2.0 ltr. engine?

Please can someone help me with some advice?

I presume the only Mr Parts King can give you a true information cos he sells an original spares.

He is presumed to have particulars of each gear box and suitability tips based on the experience.
