Badly Sunbleached Red Paintwork

My Carina's paintwork is looking like someone has tipped a skip of talcon powder all over it, its meant to be red but is very badly sunbleached and weathered with faded red and whit epatches all over it. Is there any way to help restore it or make it look better than it is?

My forst idea would be T-Cut, but someone told this this may not be enough..?

Any help would be great, as I am wanting to get it done up.

Thanx.

If it was me, I'd do some research on one of the specialist detailing forums and treat myself to a random orbital polisher.

If you don't want to splash out on a proper car random obital polisher (I went for a Meguirs G220), there are threads on the detailing forums that discuss "alternative" generic random polishers from B&Q, etc, that aren't as heavy duty but work OK for occasional use home polishing.

You'll have a real hard job trying to do it by hand with T-Cut or any other polish...

First use a polish to cut back the faded colour, then use a glaze to give it back some gloss and depth to the colour and then a wax to seal it in and provide long lasting protection.

Thank you for that. Just got your reply as been busy.......still not done anything yet to the paintwork but what I did notice is that when it rains, the paintwork looks fine and the white blemishes disappear??? Very strange!
