Hi,

Can anyone tell me how I can adjust the headlight beam? I'm not talking about the dial under the dashboard by the way.

I need to adjust the beam so that it will be higher.

Is there a screw on the light units I can adjust?

Thanks.

OK. Here goes......

This picture shows the headlamp adjuster. (The grey bit).

It is from memory 5 or 6 mm Allen key or, in the bottom is a "Phillips" screwdriver slot.

With your Aygo parked about 6 feet away from a wall somewhere dark......

Turn your interior adjuster right down, then up.

Under the bonnet: put a dot of black marker pen on the front top of the adjuster. (So you know where you're starting from).

(Sorry, I can't remember which way is up / down)

Insert an allen key / screwdriver and turn the adjuster half a turn. Watch if the beam on the wall goes up or down.

If the beam went "up", do the same to the other headlamp.

If it went down, turn it the other way.

Half a turn is probably all you'll need.

If people start flashing you at night, you can always dip your lights a bit with the interior adjuster.

It's a Torx-bit you'll need, not an Allen Key.

Thanks a lot guys! I hope you didn't take off the front fender just to show me where the adjuster is!

Just done mine .

Ending up needing no tools just my fingers which is probably why they had worked there way pointing to high in the first place!!

Secured in place with a bit of gaffer tape.
