D4D Fuel Leak & Flat Spot

Following timing belt & DMF / clutch renewal my D4D 4.2 has never been quite the same.

Apart from uneven running at ax 1500 rpm, I now have a substantial fuel leak dripping from the r/h rear side of the engine. To my knowledge there are no fuel pipes around here & I suspect that the leak is from around the high pressure fuel pump and then tracking back through the timing belt cover before then dripping onto the back of rear side of the sump. Having steam cleaned around the pump, there is perhaps a very slight sign of fuel on it but its hard to access and is partially hidden around the timing belt cover area.

Has anyone any experience of this problem , does this suggest the need to replace the high pressure pump or could it be some serviceable item ? Could this problem have been caused by the timing belt / DMF clutch renewal ?

Thanks !
