Help Needed Of Offset?

Hi does anybody know if these wheels will fit my starlet on a 97 plate? i have the chance to buy some wheels but the bloke says the offset is +38/45 now is that a offset which will fit or should i not buy them? the pcd is 4x100 so thats correct. they are 17s and are off a vauxhall vectra.the tyre size is 205/40/17 and they are team dynamics motorsports wheels. can anybody help?

This is about the eight thread I've seen in the past month about wheel offset. Can a mod make one of the multiple threads a sticky so our new members don't have to keep posting about the same thing? Also, you can look for the thread before posting a new one.

I believe the offsets for the Starlet are the same for the 'Seo, which are 35-38, so they'd fit, but just barely.

well i am so sorry if i have caused an upset. it was just i needed some info quick due to the wheels being sold on eBay at 11 o clock that night. i could have looked but just thought i would post this on.dont matter know cause i did not buy them anyway

ignore Dev mate - he posts on Paseopimp & sometimes forgets this is TOC.

think i read somewhere that for 17's starlet owners should go for 40

so i recon you should get away with it.

if not you can alwasy resell them on e-bay

yeah the entire board is pretty juvenile - but Jasons a pretty cool guy if you chat to him, so was Erik b4 the ban.

then theres my bro cris - he's moving at the mo so he hasnt been around for a while.

we did have a Info sticky but it was lost in the TOC crash a while back.

Arn't vectra's 5 stud? Plusyou will need 40 offset as 38's hit the chassi on full lock.

Thats ok dont worry bout it. yeah the vectra v6 is 5 stud but the standard vectra is 4 stud. i am preety sure the wheels were a 45 offset so i was a bit unsure if there would fit. so i did not buy cos i ran out of time.

how high do you people reckon my car would sit if i put 17s on? i will lower it but just wondered if it was gonna sit really high.
