Annoying Buzzing Noise

I'm getting a annoying buzzing noise from my 2009 Avensis 2.0 diesel saloon. It is present at 1250 revs (which is tickover on a cold day) and at 1750 revs (when accelerating). It sounds like it is coming from underneath the drivers side dashboard, near the air vents closest to the door. It is starting to get worse and is now quite irritating.

Anyone else had this? I'm a bit loathe to report it to the dealer if it is a simple fix, as I imagine they will pull everything apart and may make things worse. Is there a simple way to access this area without damaging anything?

I had a similar noise and cured it by silicone spray on rubber seal to door window.

Don't know what made me try this as I really thought the noise was from inside the door, noise travels so worth a try cannot do any harm and may cure problem let us know the outcome.
