Snow Foam

Hi

Has anyone on this forum used Snow Foam, and if so what do you think?

Wondering if it is worth buying or should I stick to car shampoo and a bucket of water?

I think it speeds up things immensely, it does require a bit of mixing and getting your consistency right. But especially on a properly prepared vehicle (i.e. polished/waxed/sealed) it makes for very quick intermediate washes. I used it on all cars and even on my boat although in the latter I mix it with a special salt removing shampoo.

I haven't got any Prius pictures yet (the dealer has had ours more than us and every time washed it) but here are a few of our other vehicles;

My wives old Nissan Murano, the Prius replaced this

And job done on the Murano after a little rinse

My old tax avoidance scheme, the Nissan Navara Pickup truck which is similar BIK tax as a Prius but could also tow our boat thumbsup.gif

That is ok but, just remember have a play around with the foam/water/soap mixture to get the right thickness. I've now got it much thicker than on those pictures. First time is hard work if you haven't prepared the car properly like wash, polish, wax, seal. But then there after you are laughing.

I'm doing my alchemy by creating the mixture with nice hot water, then soap the vehicle, make a cup of tea, watch it drag the dirt down and rinse it. Sometimes if it is really filfthy I do it a second time and then use a nice lambs wool mitten but that is mainly when I've left it a long long time.

Have fun.

I have ordered Ultimate Snow Foam, is that what you use? What ration of foam/water/soap do you use?

I am hoping it will arrive for Wednesday and I can be home in the light to give it a try!

Thanks for you replies,

David

Yes I got a big 5 litre box of ultimate Snow Foam, I probably use 100ml in a single bottle with warm water, and then also two squirts of another Mequiars Shampoo 5L bottle into it. Gives me a nice thick foam that stays on the vehicle.

Don't worry when it drips off at first, it will take a few goes to get it spot on or perhaps you are better than me :-) Also when I did it just after a a polish/wax the car was so slippery it went straight off crybaby.gif

I've got a Nilfisk c110 and a Snow Foam lance from Autobright. I'm using there Magifoam and its great stuff, it stays on there for almost half an hour and smells wonderful.

Just can't wait for the better weather to get the Autoglm HD wax on the old girl :yahoo:

Thanks. I will bear that in mind if I have problems with my mix!

Snow Foam arrived today so I am hoping to be home early enough to try it out tomorrow

It was wet and getting dark on Wednesday - quite disappointed not to be able to try it out. :crybaby:

Car is getting more and more dirty but Saturday afternoon will be my first chance if weather is good and I am not exhausted!

LOL I seriously need to do both of our cars. The wheels look blacker than the 10th anniversary version :-) So tomorrow is the day for me.
