Rav4.1 Differences

I'm sure there are many differences but I discovered one today!

When I took off the front bumper "cover" a few days ago to change the front wing I was surprised that there was no 'real' bumper behind it. Nothing behind the plastic moulding. Not even a pressed tin beam behind it.

Went to the breakers this morning and noticed that their early-99 T reg RAV4 had got a beam bolted across between the ends of the chassis legs. "Good idea".

But when I got back I discovered that my '96 version of the 4.1 not only has not got the captive bolts (or the space to weld any on) but the actual chassis legs are a different distance apart. Blast.
