Had a quick run out to test the radar cruise control, and ten miles was enough to convince me that I wouldn't order another car without it — brilliant.

I couldn't agree more. The Radar cruise control is absolutely brilliant!

Here's a question: is there any way to override the adaptive radar cruise control display in the information centre? It tells you next to nothing (just a graphic of a car in the distance), but when you have the radar activated, and switch to something more useful like the five minute consumption, it snaps back to the radar display after a short while. Seems odd that the car prioritizes that?

I honesty don't know but then I have never tried to switch back to any other display. I assume Toyota have decided that the Radar Cruise control is potentialy dangerous hence giving it ultimate priority.

I figured it out. You can change the display to anything you like, but if a vehicle ahead enters or leaves the radar beam, the display switches back the radar cruise to indicate this.
