The TV in the roof doesn't tune in in the UK, is there any way of getting it to work

I don't think so. As far as I know, Japan TV is NTSC (incidentially the same as the US). This makes it completely incompatible with UK broadcasts and picture system. Sorry.

you could possibly buy a uk spec tv tuner (doesnt have to be toyota unit, alpine and others do them) just as long as it will plug into the screen

Has anyone worked out how to tune the Tv in the roof. I know it is NTSC but I can't work out how to change the preset frequency for each channel?

Cann't help you with UK tv, but you can connect a DVD player and change the output to NTSC works fine. You may be able to connect a VCR which will have its own tv tuner, I haven't tryed this yet.

i have a toyota estima with a flip down monitor and i cant even turn it on the car is a japanese import and i was wondering if anyone knew how to get the thing to turn on

what you have to do is buy a tv converter that will convert the tv into PAL hope it helps
