Just received one of Kingos tunings kits for my 57 plate Rav 2.2 136bhp XT5 today however having a bit of trouble fitting it.

Instructions are very clear and even cables labelled too.

First instruction is to fit the kit at the fuel pressure rail sensor using the 6 pin connectors, however when I took of the plug to the fuel rail it is a 3 pin connector and I cant see how it fits??

Anyone any ideas?

Picture of tuning kit 6 pin connectors next to fuel rail 3 pin connectors...

The next part where you connect to the boost pressure sensor are all 3 pins okay and fit fine...

Looking at Lindops website for fitting instructions, the instructions I have received match the T180's instructions online however not my 136bhp model though.

Hi Smiler, not sure i can help much as my Kingo kit was fitted by Lindop themselves, and TBH i have never investigated how its wired, Also mine is 3+1/2 yrs old so don't know if its current, Mine is more than just a simple fit between 2 plugs, It seems to be connected via a plug near to the ECU + then has 4 new plugs one to each injector + then there is a fused wire connected to the Battery, really sorry if this info is wrong, but if you have not resolved the problem yet, I am sure a PM or call to Kingo will sort any problems, please keep us informed  Stew

Yeh, just looks like a small error from supplier, a kit that plugs into each injector (same as yours) is en-route, big thank you to Kingo for sorting it out.

I have a trip up North and Western Isles next Friday, hopefully be able to have fun with kit then.

Some nice deserted, pot hole free roads up there!

I went all they way around a big pond in Scotland with BK one sunny day. Seemed to hold water OK - the liner must have been made in england.

HEY! Don't tell everybody about NW roads, they will all be up there!

The roads are terrible and it rains all the time. Honest.

I quite like the A838 from about Laxford Bridge across the top.

Also, fairly well known and probably "touristy", but Bealach na Bà to Applecross I quite like, if it is reasonably quiet.

There some reasonably straight bits at the beginning where you can give the RAV a good boot uphill. Marvellous! Carrying on round the peninsula to Kenmore etc, is not too bad either.

The single track roads up there are a joy, usually very easy to pass. certainly not "Devon Lanes" :angry2:

Again, although it is a trunk route, I still think the decent off Rannoch Moor down into Glencoe is fairly spectacular. The landscape makes you feel a tiny insignificant speck.

Pot Holes?? I think some of the surfaces up there have degenerated over the past few years. I guess the region is not getting the EU funding it was maybe 10-20 years ago.

You locals might know the answer to this? In some places you used to get "sparkly tarmac". It twinkled in the sun. Is this just the "locally sourced" stuff, or is it harder stuff for better winter grip?

The way I understand it in Scotlandshire re road repairs is that the Local Authority Koonsills are allocated funds virtually by the mileage that the roads cover. So the big long winding touristy (quiet as the grave at other times) routes get a disproportionate amount of funds allocated....it's not how much traffic, it's more how many miles is it?

I stand to be correctified, but this is what one Evening paper states at Times.

Big Kev
