I have no idea how I start a poll but I have found some buttons that look as though they work so here goes:

Regularly reading this forum I am fascinated by what a varied range of folk are here. Going on from that I would be interested to discover how we used our RAVs (or in the case of us deserters, used). It seems to me that there are three basic categories: On road, off tarmac and really off road. For what it is worth here are my answers: A - Yes, yes and yes. B -Every day, at least twice a week and at least once a month.

I do stress that the info is purely for interest's sake and I have no ulterior motive other than curiosity.

Cheers

That'll be the option for venturing out in the snow then? :D

Well, I told you the snow was coming, and it came and went here; but Kingussie way was supposed to have got a load. Where's Bluevortex when you need a weather update?

Well mine is used on road pretty much all the time but, frankly, with the state of the roads around here it would probably be less challenging off road

Flying tonight ... had to put a couple of bags of cement in the back to hold the car down. Shame about the garage roof - little bit of damage and its only 11pm.

Your gale has found its way down here. The wind is playing skittles with all the little old ladies in Chagford Square  Folks is out foraging for kindling wood in the churchyard where falling branches are grimly reaping the dearly beloved to drum up trade for the vicar. :help2:

Roof tacked down again last night and all is almost well this morning - bit of damage to the roughcast where a bit of tree hit it

Am I the only nutter who goes off road everyday with their RAV? I thought crossing the green verges was a legit way of avoiding traffic lights??

Yes for me as well - If you saw the damage done to local tracks in the High Peak area by Landrovers and similar you would be astounded.

RAVs are SUV's not true off roaders - where I inspected a local track last week (180 plus vehicles per month recorded on it )I do not think any normal RAV owner would take their vehicle on it, not only 2ft drops but when they could not get up the track they had taken to farmer's fields. If anyone wants a photo email me at martinguy@aol.com - please put TRACK PHOTO in the subject line.

And furramore....how many of us T180/SR180 RUNFLAT folk would want to drive even softroadedly with these tyres, which cure one's piles (couldnae spell hammer hoyds...) on tarmac roads never mind on "tracks" ???

Big Kev :driving:
