Hi,

I have a 2004 Avensis and i have a problem with the head lamps. I have a build up of condensation in one of the head lamps and also the brightness of the dips are very poor. I heard this is a known problem with older models.

I think I'll have to change the lamps so does anyone have any idea now to do this?

I would like to do this my self as i wont to save money.

I believe you have to take the front bumper off to get access to the screws that hold them in.

Condensation is usually a sign that the bulb holders have melted I think, common problem if they have.

If you take a look at the diagram that is in my post, you will see what is holding down on a headlight.

It doesn't take too much time, however, You will need a help from your buddy to help you hold on a bumper and avoid having it scratched. I recall, it took me about an hour and a half to have it removed, replaced bulbs, and fitting it back on. Not a big deal, really, as long as You have proper tools.
