Noise On Full Steering Lock

Hi All

Recently bought 3 Door VVT-I, 2004 for my wife and a month later bought a 2007 2.2 Diesel.

Really happy with both of them but I have noticed that with both, when on full lock there is a clunk, only happens once till next time on full lock.

Some years back we had a Toyota pickup at work and the same clunk was on this.

Can anyone tell me is this 'normal' or have I got problems with bothe Rav's.

They both drive well and were both serviced before I took delivery.

Its just the rack hitting the lock stops. You've got 2 cracking motors there

I agree.... I have had a variety of cars and experienced the same noise
