I need some help and I'm hoping that someone on here will have the experience and inclination to help me. I am trying to replace the hood and driver's side fender for an '02 Toyota Corolla. My wife was in a minor rear-ending accident and I didn't have the heart to pay the garage the $3500 they wanted for all of the "damages" so I bought a hood and fender online. What I guess I really need is tips and more specifically (especially for the fender) the "how-to's" of removal and replacement (i.e., bolt locations and the like). Any help that anyone can provide would be greatly appreciated.

Believe it or not, a $15 Haynes repair manual from your local auto parts store has a lot of this information in it. The best advice I can give you for the fender is to remove the fender liner (a number of screws and bolts holding it in... all of which are easily accessible with the tyre & wheel removed), then remove any bolts holding the fender itself in. I believe this requires the removal of the corner lamp assembly and the front bumper, but I could be wrong.
