Hello All

Im a new Toyota driver, Got my Sept 09 Toyota VERSO T SPIRIT Auto D-CAT last Saturday traded my audi A3 in as we needed more space for our other addition were having soon. Anyway just wanted to know i filled this up at BP garage and was a bit suprised that it said 295Miles range. Can anyone tell me if this is correct as i thought this would be slightly better. I drove from Oxford to wolverhampton at steady 70 and done approx another 40miles and now saying 140Miles left

Many Thanks and sorry if this has been discussed before

Dave

Slight aside: You get massively better mileage driving at 60mph :)

Also, bumping up the tyre pressures a little improves mpg a bit too.

The onboard trip computer's accuracy tends to be a bit dubious so don't take it as gospel :)

It also depends on learning your driving style, but you're better off keeping your own records if you want any sort of accuracy!

I record my odo reading and fuel bought every time I fill up to calculate the figures myself :)

The calculated range will be based on the current average MPG. So if the last few miles before you filled up gave you an average 35MPG the range will be different to an average 55MPG. You also have to make sure you manually reset as much of the trip information as you can or the figures will be based on previous fill up information.

I tend to do the maths myself rather than believe the trip computer, you will find it errs on the cautious side to try and stop you running out of fuel.

Thanks for your reply both. Looks like it will cost me an extra fill up per month but i suppose its a lot bigger and heavier car also.

Thanks again
