Ipod Kit For 2008/09 Auris - No Cd Changer Controls?

I'm looking to install an iPod lead to a 2008/09 Auris. The forum mentions products like the XCarLink http://www.xcarlink.co.uk/product.php?productid=29&cat=0&page=1 and the Toyota lead part PZ473-00261-00, see http://www.toyota-tech.eu/ for how to fit My Auris CD radio is labelled W13805 CTN32AE039 The question is how would I select the iPod as a source using the existing radio? Most products talk about using the CD changer control buttons. My Toyota radio does not have any CD changer buttons or Aux button so how do I tell it to switch to the iPod lead as a source? My Toyota garage claim their lead will work with my car but I'm thinking of buying the XCarLink as a cheaper option, Martin
