Removing Stereo Avensis 03

Please can anyone tell me how to separate the double din unit from the heating controls, I have taken the unit out complete , but can't seem to see how to separate the two, if anyone could help many thanks

Its been a little while since a did mine, but i recall holding the unit with the face facing you a sliding the radio section to the right whilst pushing the heater control to the left. It might the the other way roud but it was definitely a side to side slide that seperated the two halves.

Thanks very much for the reply, will have a go in the morning, the main unit is broken and I have a new Sony head unit to go in. Thanks again
