Dashboard Lighting

I am very impressed with my IQ having traded up from an 10 year old Yaris.

I have applied the black tape mod to the annoying airbag light.

Now I want to dim the dash lights but cannot find any reference to dimming them in the handbook.

Does anybody have any ideas how to dim the dash lights?

thanks

Welcome to the forum! Great car chioce!

If I remember correctly pressing the mode button on the trip/fuel display will eventually bring up a series of bars (or horizontal dashes). If you then hold the button, the light intensity should change to 5? different levels.

This certainly changes the brightness of the mfd but I am not sure if it also changes the overall dashboard lighting.

:Jumpy:

It is missing in the German manual too!

Press the Multi-Infodisplay-button MODE several times until lines appear. Now press longer MODE and the intensity of your dashboard lighting will change.

Thank you very much for the advice and I have now lowered the brightness of the dash lights to something much more satisfactory.

I will add a note to my manual.

Note to others that read this, the dash brightness setting can only be found when you turn the lights on.
