Ignition Barrel Stuck. Need Help Removing Urgently.

It all started in a petrol station forecourt, my car turns to ACC and then the Barrel plain refuses to turn any further...

It is not the ignition switch! This part is literally two days old! So now I'm running the car with the cowling off, using a screwdriver to turn the ignition switch and the key in the ignition to overcome to steering lock and read the immobilser chip... Hardly ideal..

I'm trying to get the old barrel out, I have a new one.

But when I turn the key, as far as I can... I can't see any pin pop up or anything...

How the tell do I remove it? Since it won't goto the second ignition stop?

I've tried hitting it with a hammer, everything, the key just won't turn any further...

Are these normal tumbler locks as of old? Can I swap the small fins out of the cylinder in the new lock, so my key fits? I don't fancy a different key for the ignition to the doors etc.

I need urgent help with this!

Getting the Barrel out!

You need to remove the covers to expose the barrel housing. There is a hole facing on the side of the lock barrel. Put the ignition key in the lock and turn to ACC position. Using a screwdriver or something similar press it into the hole to depress the pin and pull the barrel out with the key.
