Can I Fit A 2005 Vvtl-I Engine In An 01 Celica ?

I have a 2001 Celica and the Camshaft is going on it ... Its going to cost over £500 to get it repaired, A refurb engine is £800 fitted but I can get a Cat C 2005 Celica Salvage for less than £500

It has a VVTL-i engine in it, my question is, Can I fit that engine into my 2001 Celica ?

It will fit but you'll need to change ECU, loom etc.

It may pay you to contact Lee at se7en motorsport

That is the Plan Ormi, I have a couple mechanic friends that will be helping me (When I get the car) to change the engine, If its as easy as you say then I think I have found my car !

remember the engine comes out by lowering it and lifting the car off it...

also swap the seats and the suspension...a few hours and both engines should be on the deck..

top tip fit the loom before the engine
