I have one works well :) was easy to fit to just buy it off eBay http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/LONGER-Rear-Wiper-Blade-Toyota-Aygo-1-0-VVT-i-all-model-/390257752620?pt=UK_CarsParts_Vehicles_CarParts_SM&hash=item5add2cba2c

Also consider flat front wiper as well i have one its brilliant, clears water in one sweep and looks great :)

I dont want this to sound strange, but why is the rear wiper not straight?

Posted

Plenty of people have asked that no it don't sound strange it was like that when i bought it some fool probably lent on it and pushed it down so now its stuck there it still works fine so no need for any attention

The rear wiper you need is a Halfords "W22"

It's 400mm long.

The downward slope......

I fitted my new wiper so it is horizontal......looks a lot better but......

Instead of road dirt & dust washing off to the right,

it stands on top of the wiper ready to scratch your rear screen

as soon as you turn the rear wiper on after a dry spell.

I think it slopes deliberately to allow dirty water to run off.

I disagree on this being deliberate. Mine has been level since I bought my car...

Besides that: the way it's positioned in the pictures above the blade doesn't sit

on top of the rear screen defogger wires, so it won't come unstuck when you use

the defoger with the wiper frozen stuck to the screen...

i tried a 35 cm.

dissapointed, cause it did not succeeded in cleaning all covered surface..:blink:

Put back a new 30cm and everything ok.

once a month i clean both blades with an old cloth + some

silicon spray. This is adding life in them + they both work properly. :toast:

Agree with you Jan.

Mine now runs straight over the HRW wires as does my wife's Aygo.

It was one of the first things I did to both cars when we bought them.

In the UK, All the rear wipers seem to be fitted down at the right.

Water drainage was all I could think of.

EDIT: Googled "Aygo Rear" and most wipers are horizontal! They must just put them on at random......

By the way, wiperblades.co.uk are brilliant for flat-blade wipers. I got mine there and there's plenty of choice. Not sure about rear flat-blades though. With regards to the "tilting rear wiper", mine started to go like that during the Summer months. But then suddenly it's back to being horizontal again! Very strange... maybe it has a lot to do with temperatures, usage etc. I don't think it's deliberate though - no Aygos in the showrooms have tilting wipers.

Mine has always been bent down i think someone has lent on it and bent it like that as it was like that when i bought the car
