been thinking bout this for a month or so now so now to share it

1) continue with styling side and improve on install

2) strip out the huge boot install and keep it simple with sub amp etc and rid of mulitmedia stuff, swap 17's for some phat 16's x 225, tarox 6 pots brake conversion, maybe supercharged, swap koni and TTEs for TEIN coilovers.

what do ya think

m8 if you didn't make it a road rocket I would be most dissapointed..

you'd be virtually the only man in the UK with a supercharger.. imagine the coverage, and respect

Everyone's got audio installs... they may sound very nice but they weigh the car down and reduce performance!

ROAD ROCKET!!!!

If you got rid of the ICE install you'd probably feel a boost in speed. I'm sure you could get a nice clean sound out of 6x9's and an amp?

I like your alloys, I wouldn't change em. Plus I think 225's would look too fat

Would like to see some extra exterior styling on your car :)

Yep - ditch the ICE (sell me the head unit & changer ;) :D ) & wack on the charger.

ice and styled unless ur gonna get a celica t-sport engine put in and a 10 pot brake conversion,

the yaris is a gud car but is never gonna be a super car it sits too high jus save and buy an mr2 turbo or summit handlin should be loads better

just my opinion dont murder me for it

edit:ps si i'm having first dibs on screen

i disagree knight rider... of course the yaris will never be a supercar, but I think you're missing the point of why jaxx is doing it :)

yaris are very very underrated cars by everyone, especially boy racers!

if you drop the suspension and add some decent shocks (which jaxx has), then add a strut brace with wider tyres... it's going to grip like a bugger!

the yaris is perfectly capable of out cornering the big boys, but lacks grunt...

if you could bring the 0-60 down to 7 seconds or less, and increase overtaking power... it's a pretty formiddable machine!

of course there's always going to be a smart ***** mr2 turbo/supra/skyline/evo/impreza that will show you up... but that's life!

I certainly wouldn't mind a sorted yaris like rob is aiming for! :D

u go for it m8, and then u can take a trip west to show me how it works

i myself have been wondering which way to go when i get my new ts

most of the yari that ive seen have just had ice done

soi was wanting to go the pocket rocket way,the ownly downer is that it is so much more expensive!!!

i read on the tdi it is possible to get upto 180bhp out of the yaris with a sc and intercooler sequential dump valse urgrded pistons etc!!

then wack some nos on it.

just imagine it!!

i was quoted i think by bremsport for a set of custom made 4pots with 350m (i think)discs was 900!but trd do them now!and they do a 6 and 10 pot upgrade aswell!

just imagine over 200 bhp in a yaris

sweeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeet!!

Whats the point in having a "road weapon" ?

You may get enjoyment out of it if you take it to track days and the odd magazine shoot but for the rest of the time it is a liability.

Your insurance will rocket as will other costs and you'll never be able to drive it to the max.

One wrong turn and you could whipe out all your hardwork.

Get a multimedia install and you can enjoy it everyday not just track days.

My tupence worth anyway,

Rob

its is highly underated true, but expensive to tune as it is not so popular and most parts would have to come from japan, but if you wanna do it go for it

What's the point in having a road weapon?.... Just a couple of ideas here but;

thrill of acceleration

overtaking power

ego

knowing your particular yaris is very special indeed

consistently suprisingly nearly everyone on the road...

confidently throwing it around in the corners

let's not forget here, even with a supercharger you're only talking 30-40bhp more than a tsport, which barely brings it up to 150bhp... it's not as if he's trying to run 400bhp through it...

Personally I consider ICE a big waste of time and money, I mean.. there's only so much you can spend on sound, and most people who do ICE don't even do it for sound quality anyway. They go for 'boom' which is even less impressive to me as I prefer proper sound! anyway;

You can consider any money you spend on your car as 'thrown away' and hard to recover, so why not throw it away in something a little different to everyone else?

For me, driving is about performance... not how many tv's u can get in your car!

hmm very interesting!

id love the car to go alot better cos its highly capable in std form anyway. ok the 'charger is only gonna add about 40bhp but my current estimate is approx 118-120bhp (regarding the rolling road graph provided to me by Oli when i bought all his bits and bobs) so im expecting about 155-160ish maybe???? in a car that weighs less than a ton

with a massive and 'over-capable' set of brakes this is the equivelent to adding 10bhp

(!) due to the fact you can brake later and harder into the corners

and id like a set of fully adjustable coilovers to so i can set the suspension perfectly

different alloys to provide wider tread pattern an hopefully some OZ's so they are nice and light, to help with acceleration

thing is id like to keep the alpine sat-nav for tariling the country and maybe the front screen for it to work but chop the install down to just a single sub and use a 5channel amp to run the lot cos i still like me music at the end of the day

ill start sorting some prices and see what i can do!

i agree with ya jaxx... 160bhp should kick ***** on a yaris, if you ask me its more than enough.

a screen dont really weigh you down so by all means keep it in there :D ...its usually the amount of wood used on the install that weighs down the car most, so if you plan on taking out the sub then you'd be sorted

plzzz plz post sum pics of your ice install and screens ???

cheers

Some interesting points by the more 'sensible' drivers. Its a lot of money in parts and insurance to make a car that you won't even be able to run at the max. Maybe spend your money on saving up for a car thats all ready fast, and more tunable. Like a Mini Cooper S or sommin.

Personally I think the TSport is a top performer anyway and can quite happily beat 60-70% of cars on the road. And probably only 10% of drivers ever drive fast/race you anyway.

Maybe you could buy yourself another, fastish car, then put your yaris aside as a project car which you only take to track days or sommin?

I guess its all about how much money you got in the end... if your over 25 and raking it in, then you can do woteva you want really.

ok guys cheers

been working out a few prices and its not gonna be cheap!

basically for the same money i could get a nicely sorted r33 skyline!

but watch this space anyway

get the skyline instead rob... as nice as a sc yaris would be....

no, i was going to justify the reasoning but it doesn't require justification!

r33 ahoy!

I think that you've got it there in one

Nothing wrong with a bit of egotism. Otherwise the world would be a very bland place

16's x 225

good luck. we found 215's kinda borderline with a 30mm drop. all arches are rolled and 2 sport srping adjusters in each spring esle bumps or more than 2peeps in car casued grinding.
