Iphone Bluetooth Music Problems Aygo Blue

Recommended Posts

Hi

I've just taken delivery of a new Aygo Blue and I LOVE it!!

Only problem seems to be that I can't work out how to play music from my iPhone through the built in Toyota bluetooth unit (No probs with pairing and can use iPhone to make and receive calls). Having read the bluetooth manual it does say 'only on some models' but doesn't say which ones!!

Does anyone know if it is possible to play the iPhone 3GS through this particular device, and how?

I know I could just use the aux socket but I'm always up for a bit of technology if possible. B)

We have a blue as well as a go. The bluetooth system in the blue is fairly basic and i dont think it supports bluetooth music.

I've tried streaming music with my HTC Desire to my Aygo Blue, and i don't think it'll work. When i brought it the sales man said the streaming only works with the higher end models. I assumed he meant the more expensive cars. :crybaby:

If you do get it working though let us know!

The carkit needs to support A2DP bluetooth Stereo Streaming Audio AND you need to run an iOS version that supports A2DP...

In iOS 3.x there's limited support of A2DP: the iPhone can stream audio and you can Play/Pause by remote, nothing more,

with iOS 4.x you also get proper Remote-control through A2DP, so you can now adjust volume, Play/Pause and Skip Next and Previous.

A2DP and HFP are tow different protocols, which the iPhone strictly separates; I have a TBH Bury CC9060 carkit in my car that

supports both protocols, but with new firmware I can now finally turn A2DP on and off separately; else the iPhone would send

ALL of its audio to the carkit, but the A2DP-sound would only be audible when I had my stereo set to the Auxilary.

So recieving an email, SMS or IM-message would make the phone vibrate, but I couldn;t distinguish waht I'd recieved,

as the sound was sent to a non-selected input on my radio...

But I absolutely LOVE the Bury system: especially the Voice Control, whicht is WAY superio to that on the iPhone itsself..

We plug our I-Pad into the aux socket on our blue... Works fine!

Hi everyone

Thanks for the replies. I think the bottom line is that the bluetooth system in the Blue is the basic kit which allows calls etc but not music streaming. Never mind I'll just use the aux socket on the stereo, it certainly won't stop me enjoying the car which, for what it is, is fantastic.

thanks again :)
