Hi all,

53 plate petrol 5 door, the fan on the drivers side has started to come on even when starting from cold.

Air con is turned off any ideas, nothing showing on the code reader.

I consider the temp sensor gives a wrong command to the fan due to internal contacts sticking. Inother words this sensor is faulty

Is the temp guage in the car showing it warming up or showing hot??

Is the temp guage in the car showing it warming up or showing hot??

Temp gauge is showing normal, gradual increase in the gauge to just slightly under half way as engine warms.

Not rising above normal.

You need a fan switch, not to be confused with the engine temperature switch ;)
