Apparently on the new (2010+) you cannot have frt mudflaps because of a new style of step, however in your sig you say you have a 2008 Rav, they can be fitted to this  Stew

No, can't be done as a Toyota OEM accessory. However my new RAV has the style pack fitted with the side steps which do a certain amount of the what the mudflaps do. Due to the recent poor weather washing the RAV has become a regular pastime (anything to keep mrs A happy!). The dirt along the sides is no worse than my last 4.3 RAV which had mudflaps fitted

You are right about the Rav in my sig however I have ordered a new one with the style pack and the dealer said that flaps would be fitted. Since then I have looked at piccys of the new steps and did not see how they could get flaps to fit. I am having the style pack retro fitted as I have done a deal on a new Rav they had in. The new style pack is listed with "premium" steps but I am worried now that the dealer may be planning to fit "fundemental" steps that are also listed in the accessories page.

Have to say I like the new steps and would not want any others fitted. I am due at the dealers in the morning to sign some paperwork so I will ask the question while there

Hi vickk i had the same problem when i bought my new Rav back in march 2010 the previous posts are correct you cannot fit the mud flaps to the front if the "new style" steps are fitted but to be honnest dont worry about it motor looks fine without them and the step catches most of any spoil thrown up by wheel and save yourself some money and buy the mud flaps over the counter and fit yourself all you need is a stubby philips screwdriver and 15mins o dry weather dont fall into the trap i almost fell int by being charged £90 for supply and fit!!! fit yourself .....back set from Mr T around £22

Cheers for that. Now not worried about not having front flaps as I was not paying for them I just concerned that as I negotiated a good price on the style pack that they might fit a cheaper looking side step than the new stlye. I might be worrying for nothing, for all I know the new premium steps might be the only ones that fit.

Shock....Horror....somebody at a dealer doesn't know you can't have mudflaps with the newer Rav's style pack sidesteps????

Find that hard to believe.....NOT.

Seems they did know about the mudflaps, that's why they were planning on fitting alternative sidesteps
