Need Whiter Sidelights

I've installed a 5000k HID kit in my Avensis, and have now realised how yellow my sidelights look next to them.

I can't decide between white LED's or those normal bulbs with the blue coating.

Has anyone tried either of these?

I have tried these, but the quality is rubbish. I had one with 8 white led and all of them burnt in one month.

Tried blue one but the blue coating turns black very soon.

If you want to buy one, make sure you buy good one and not chinese one getting sold on e-bay.

Which do you think gave you the best light output and whiteness? I've used LED sidelights in the past and they always seemed to have a blue tint to them which I don't like.

I was looking at the 24 LED sidelight bulbs on eBay. Did you use the proper Osram blue bulbs?

Yeah blue bulbs were by Osram and went back after month.

Get led lights but not cheap e-bay stuff, and you know you should be looking for 5-6K of light.

Let us know which one fitted best on your car and possible photos.

Cheers.

I have some blue bulbs that light up white.

I can't remember the brand name or where i got them from (not much use i know) but here is a pic i took when i had them fitted to my Mondeo, so you can see how effective they are.

I will try to find details of them if i can and update if i get any info for you (if you are after some for yourself).

Powerbulbs throw in a set of philips bluevision sidelight bulbs with every order and there prices are pretty good. Maybe order some of their headlamp bulbs for the main beam and get your sidelights for free :)

Service is great to, www.powerbulbs.co.uk

The light output on those look really good. How long did you have them in? Did you have any issues with them going black too?

I think I'll try a set of the blue bulbs first and see how I get on with them. If I have problems then I'll try some LEDs.

I had them in the Mondeo for about 6-8 months, and they have been in the Auris since i bought it in November as i switched them over.

They have not changed colour at all and continue to give a really nice white light.

They are the whitest NON LED bulbs i have tried.
