Valve Stem Seals

Hi everyone,

I'm about to change the valve stem seals on my 1999 Toyota Avensis 1.8 with a FA-7E engine. The Haynes manual states that the seals are different sizes and yet the kit I have purchased looks as if they are all the same.Does anyone know if this is the case or is there something I am missing?

Naw he disnae....sooperceded only has one "e" after the "c"....

the genuine gasket kit still has two seal types in, think one is grey and the other is green.

there was a letter on mine to signify whether it was inlet or exhaust

maybe your gasket set has been superceded by a later one that common seals for both valves.

but sure it will no differece to suitability for your engine.

as kingo only deals with toyota genuine parts he would be correct on what he has said.

The gasket kit might have the older type of seal with inlet and exhaust seals, BUT if you were to buy just the seals, they have been superceded to just one part number, the same part
