Yaris Vs Aygo Vs Vitz

Hi all!

As title suggests I would like to know which of these models is the best in terms of performance, reliability, and fuel consumption.

The Yaris is the Vitz, it's just the Japanese name. The Aygo is built by Peugeot and I would say is less reliable than the Yaris, as for performance and fuel consumption...well that depends on which model you buy, the 1.0L Yaris and Aygo both have the same engine.

City only driving - Aygo 1.0L

Long distance driving - Yaris 1.4 D4D

Mixed driving; Mostly city then Aygo 1.0, otherwise 1.4 D4D

1.33L Yaris is an option if you hate diesel; Has similar performance but has the lowest mpg of the three. 1.0L Yaris is okay but mpg worse than Aygo.

I test drove an Aygo, far too basic and slow compared to my d4d.

The Aygo is rather basic, and if you look in that forum, there are some comments about poor fuel economy

IMHO the Mk1 Yaris T-Spirit D4D is the best small hatch car ever made :D
