hello mate

check with:

- Battery main contacts tightening;

- starter contacts + its primer solenoid contact;

- SCV contacts

It is understood all must be clean and tight.

I do not consider the Battery internal contacts -- cos i ve have had the same before with the same symptoms.

cheers,

i have looked at Battery terminals and they are fine. having only having the rav 2 weeks at 130,000miles. it has full toyota service and in that i see its had 2 batteries and 2 starters so it has been a problem before.

i think the starting system would be under more stress and load when cold.

as long as the rav has been standing for at least 1/2 an hour when warm it starts ok.

i'm at a loss

does this throw any more light on it?????

thank you igor

OK I 'd check with both SCV on the fuel injction pump body.

The engine temp influences on the SCV solenoid coil insulation resistance and may play.

I'd consider SCV issue when hot. Cheers/Igor
